Edith Kolton

 

Edith Kolton is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Edith Kolton has studied under Walter Rosenbaum, Jacob Lipkin, and Stanley Bleifeld.

 

Many of her sculptures focus on the human figures. She works by modeling in clay, casts the pieces in bronze, or translates them into stone or wood, capturing moments of fluid movement and mood.

 

She has executed many commissions and her works are represented in several private collections.

 

She has exhibited in most of the major New England exhibits where she won awards including Best in Show.

 

Her work has also been shown through the Collector's Guild in New York, and in the American Express Catalogue. In addition, she has designed awards for the NOW Legal Defense Fund and the National Association for Female Executives.
